Leanne Caron Piper, MA

It's a priivilege to be able to combine my passion for midwifery with my background as a writer, publisher and graphic designer.  I have spent the last 30 years working in marketing and communications-related positions in the private and non-profit sector, including 15 years at McMaster University and currently at the University of Guelph.  As a member of the Midwifery Task Force of Ontario in the 1980s,

ar…) as a Medical translator. As Clinical Coordinator of a Montreal halfway house in the early 90s, part of my job was to proofread and sometimes translate the various reports producedby the counselors: that’s where my interest in Translation/Revision blossomed. It eventually led me to pursue a formal education in Translation: 2 years of training at the University of Montreal and 3 years of intensive freelance work in a Toronto agency, during which I developed an interest and an expertise in the Health sector. Since 2011, I am proud to put my years of experience at the Society of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists of Canada and the Journal of Obstetrics and Gynaecology Canada at the service of the Canadian Journal of Midwifery Research & Practice.
