Submissions

References

References, including those in tables or figure legends, should be numbered consecutively as cited, using numerical suprascript at the end of the sentence punctuation. The CJMRP prefers that the Endnotes function not be used when referencing. Title abbreviations for journals should be as used in the Index Medicus.

Permissions

The author(s) must obtain and provide permission for any materials or illustrations used in the submission that were previously published or copyrighted. Contributed work should be appropriately acknowledged. Photographer credits must accompany photographs. Permission must be obtained from both the photographer and the subject(s) of the photograph.

Submitting Materials to the CJMRP

  • identify the corresponding author on the title page, including name, mailing address, phone number, fax number and e-mail address
  • electronic filing in a Word format is the preferred method of submission.
  • if using a disc to submit an article:
  • write the name of the article on the disc
  • save only the latest version of the article on the disc and use a 3.5” disk
  • please check the disk for virus contamination using an updated virus scan
  • one hard copy of the article should accompany disc submissions
  • mailed submissions should be sent to:
  • keep a copy of all materials submitted to the Journal of Midwifery Research and Practice. Submitted materials are returned to the author only upon special request by the author at the time of submission.
